Questions to consider when evaluating expertise:

  1. What kind of expertise does the person claim they have?

  2. After looking up more information about this person, is that type of expertise exhibited in what you find?

Many experts will have a Wikipedia page. But sometimes there isn't a Wikipedia page for a particular individual or organization. In these cases, try using Google News or simply a Google search to find any information about them that you can.
